The astrology of the last few months has been helping us expose what is not working: what systems in our lives are faulty and not destined to last. There has been (and continues to be) a deep unearthing of what was hidden — the information that we didn’t know about or couldn’t see yet. underground/below. And with this unearthing comes opportunities to grow.
Right now, the stars are primed to support us in rebuilding what we learned was broken. This is the beauty of a retrograde — we get the chance to look at what wasn’t working so that we can choose to create something that will work better.
It’s like when the walls are chopped open and there’s mold or bugs inside — once you see, you can’t just seal it back up. You must cleanse and reconstruct with new materials. Maybe some of the old materials are salvageable and still useful, but don’t default to what led to the problem. When we see which pieces are broken, we can rebuild with more agency and clarity.
You can also just move out, but you might run into the same set of issues in your new home. (Get to the source).
Is this working?
It’s a time where things that have been dormant are waking up. They are bubbling up to the surface to be looked at. You cannot ignore or shove them back under the surface — they are here to be dealt with.
What recently exposed itself as being flawed or not working how it should? Was it in your home? Your body, health, brain? Your job or daily routines? Your friends or lovers or family? Your beliefs or ways of thinking? What you’re consuming (mentally and physically)?
Often, just naming what needs to be different is enough to make some shifts begin to happen.
Recent unearthing themes I’ve noticed in my life / friends / family — relationships crumbling, quitting (or wanting to quit) jobs, resurgence of past broken patterns with significant people, new friends, frustration with ‘the way things are going’.
Sensitive, not breakable.
Something that I learned repeatedly in my psych classes is that humans are, above all else, resilient. We are resilient by nature; able to bounce back after the most horrendous, devastating things. Bodies know how to adapt — they are designed to work toward healing. Obviously, some people don’t or can’t, now or ever. The point is that we do have the capacity to heal.
Even when things crumble around us, we (can) remain resilient and in our power. We are sensitive, not breakable.
What is not working? What’s trying to die? What is crumbling before your eyes?
Let it die. Let it crumble. Start building something better.
xx, maggie
P.s. I’m starting an astrology podcast with my best astro buddy Jackson! First episode will come out next week, stay tuned for details if that’s your jam. If it isn’t, that’s literally fine.
Good article. I’ll look forward to your astrology podcast.
